The Pouilly Fumé of Stellenbosch. Stunning!Crushed laurel on the nose with more than a nuance of residual seaside salt. This has a big and textured palate with stone fruit and fennel hints it is rich and minerally, showing even a slight rocky quality about it. As bracing as the wind through the vines at Waterkloof.

Bright straw green. Refreshingly intense concentration of citrus, tropical fruits and fragrant fresh summer herbs, underpinned by an appealing degree of minerality. On the palate, a generous full bodied wine displaying an excellent balance of fruit and acidity with a fine citrus infused finish, a portion of indigenous ferment adding depth and richness.
Very good minerailty with white flowers notes. We stock this because this is a really under appreciated grape variety.
This really shows up other more expensive rivals from the Loire and beyond. Teasingly high in acidity, pitch perfect when it comes to classic gooseberry flavour and with mineral core that just completes the wine. Classic seafood accompaniment.
