Du Pin is located in the Entre Deux Mers region of Bordeaux. The 2009 is easily the best wine they have yet produced. The aromatics of sweet cherries, black currants, subtle herbs, cedar, and spice box combined with a long, rich attack and mid-palate result in an impressive, supple-textured Grand Vin de Bordeaux to drink over the next 1-2 years. A warm, richly flavoured red with aromas of plums, dried fruits and sweet spices. On the palate it is generous with good concentration of ripe plum and black cherry fruit and hints of dried figs -all balanced by a silky smooth mouthfeel and fresh acidity. Easy drinking.
Intense crimson with youthful purple hues. Generous, mouth-filling sweet blackberries, raspberries and plums cover the palate with lashings of sweet spice. Firm but fine tannins and dark chocolatey nuances continue throughout the lengthy palate with a youthful finish.
